Day 1: Arrive in Lima

After your flight lands at Lima Jorge Chavez airport, follow the signs for immigration, then walk to the baggage claim area, and then get to customs. After clearing customs, you will be in the International arrivals area, where our staff, who will be holding a sign with your name, will welcome you and drive you to your hotel located in Miraflores, the nicest and safest area of Lima, facing the Pacific Ocean!

Day 2: Flight from Lima to Cusco. Sacred Valley

Hotel pickup time: two hours and thirty minutes before flight departure
Estimated Flight time: one hour and ten minutes

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Lima airport to board your flight to Cusco City. You will be assisted with your flight check-in, baggage drop-off, and then escorted to the entrance to the security check area. Notice that gates and departure times may change, please check the airport monitors.

Upon arrival at Cusco airport, follow the signs for the baggage claim area, after collecting your luggage you will be in the arrivals area, where our staff will welcome you and drive you to the Sacred Valley, the most comfortable area to adjust to the altitude.

On the way to your hotel you will enjoy visiting Awanacancha center and Pisac village and Market.

Cusco – Awanacancha Farm. Feed Llamas and Alpacas!

Our staff will drive you to Awanacancha farm. The fun can’t wait, here you will feed Llamas and Alpacas, take pictures with them and learn about the amazing textiles made by the Quechua weavers in the Peruvian Andes.

Awanacancha – Pisac Market & Empanadas

Estimated driving time: twenty minutes

After visiting Awanacancha you will be driven to the peaceful Quechua village of Pisac, a perfect place to immerse yourself in the Quechua world!  Here you will explore its famous Indian market and interact with Quechua families who sell unique handicraft and amazing souvenirs, some of them wearing their traditional outfit. You will also have the chance to try the delicious Empanadas made in a wood-burning oven!

After visiting Pisac you will be driven to your hotel located in the sacred valley, the most comfortable area to adjust to the altitude.

Day 3: Ollantaytambo and Qosqo Ayllu

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Ollantaytambo village, here you will explore Qosqo Ayllu, the ancient Inca town that keeps its original walls and layout as it was during the Inca times, and still inhabited to the present.

You will be able to enjoy views of Ollantaytambo fortress, where the Incas made one of their last stands against the Spanish.

After visiting Ollantaytambo village, you will be transferred to the train station to board the vista dome train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).

Day 4: Machu Picchu

Today, you will be picked up from your hotel and escorted to the bus stop for a 30-minute bus journey to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival in Machu Picchu, you and your guide will enter the citadel and start your adventure in this amazing UNESCO Heritage Site. Exploring the remarkable architectural structures of Machu Picchu, enjoying the wonderful views of the Incas’ world, and learning about the history of this site, who lived here, how it was discovered in modern times and why the Spaniards never found it are just experiences of a lifetime!

You will have some insight into the various features of this sacred city and have free time to really enjoy yourself alone in this spectacularly located site, an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever!

After your Machu Picchu tour, you will board the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have lunch and then board the train back to Ollantaytambo village.

Day 5: Cusco

Afternoon Cusco City Tour and nearby Inca Ruins Tour

This afternoon, you are picked up from your hotel, join your tour group and start your visit to the beautiful city of Cusco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

You Cusco tour starts with a smooth walk to the main attractions of this Inca city, its main square known as Plaza de Armas, then the Cusco Cathedral which construction started in 1559 and has an impressive unique collection of more than 400 paintings from Cusco school made during the 16th and 17th century. Next, you walk through the narrow Inca streets close the Plaza and appreciate the massive Inca walls which are the foundations of Cusco city.

Your tour includes a visit to the most impressive Inca temples, Koricancha, which is known as the temple of the sun. During the Inca time, the walls of this temple were lined in sheets of solid gold and its courtyard was decorated with statues and ornaments of gold! You tour includes a visit to Santo Domingo Church built by the Spanish colonists.

After visiting the city of Cusco, we will head to the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman located on the outskirts of the city. Here you will learn more about the Incas’ secrets while exploring this amazing fortress and enjoying its beautiful perfectly fitted walls, built with massive stones! We continue to Qenko ruins, a site of carved living rock, then to Puca Pucara, an Inca lodging Site and finally Tambo Machay, known as the Baths of the Inca. At the end, you will have an amazing view of the Inca city and surrounding areas.

Day 6: Tourist bus ride from Cusco to Puno

Hotel pickup time: 06:20 a.m.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the bus station to board the tourist bus to Puno and have one of the most fabulous journeys with spectacular views of the Andes Mountains and countryside. The bus journey includes visits to Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, La Raya and Pukara.

Day 7: Adventure on Lake Titicaca

After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Puno pier to start your adventure on the highest navigable Lake in the world. The first stop will be on the floating Totora reed Islands of The Uros where we will interact with local families and learn how these pre-Incan people have lived. We continue our journey onto Taquile Islands, here we will learn more about Inca’s culture and traditions; their lifestyle remains the same as it has been for centuries with very little influence from modern times. Notice that Taquile is home to some of the most beautiful textiles and some of the best handicraft in the Inca region.

In the afternoon, we will return to Puno pier, from where you will be transferred to Juliaca airport to board your flight to Lima.

Flight from Juliaca to Lima

Hotel to airport estimated driving time: ninety minutes

Day 8: Tourist bus ride from Lima to Paracas bay

Estimated bus journey time: four hours

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the bus terminal to embark on a smooth four-hour tourist bus journey through the Pan American Highway to Paracas bay.

Upon arrival at Paracas bus terminal, you will be welcomed by our representative, driven to your hotel and assisted with your hotel check-in.

Flight over Nazca Lines

Estimated flight duration: one hour and thirty minutes

You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Pisco airport to board your flight over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. You will enjoy great views of at least 15 figures in the desert, a monkey, a fish, a spider, a hummingbird and other drawings and geometric figures visible only from the air. The mystery of these huge figures in the desert known as the Nazca Lines, continues even today.

After your flight over Nazca Lines you will be driven back to your hotel a few steps from the beach.

Day 9: Speedboat trip to Ballestas Islands

Hotel pickup time: 07:30 am.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel, driven to Paracas pier and set off on a two-hour speedboat guided adventure, which will take you through the blue waters of Paracas bay to the beautiful Ballestas Islands, home to many sea birds, impressive colonies of sea lions and a few Humboldt Penguins.
On the way to the island, you will have great views of the mysterious Candelabra, a prehistoric geoglyph which is almost 650 feet long, carved into a hill and still an unsolved mystery!

Tourist bus journey from Paracas to Lima city

After your boat trip, you will be driven back to your hotel to pick up your luggage and then to the bus terminal to embark on a smooth tourist bus ride through the Pan American Highway back to Lima city.

Upon arrival at Lima bus terminal you will be met by our staff and driven to your hotel.

Day 10: Lima city tour

Hotel pickup time: 09:30 am.

This morning, you are picked up from your hotel and join your tour group. You will be driven to the Historic Center of Lima, where you will learn about the colonial past of Peru and how it is still reflected in modern times.

The Historic Center of Lima known as “the City of the Kings”, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 due to its outstanding value not only by its high concentration of historic monuments but also due to Lima played an important role in the history of the New World from the 16th to the 18th century.

Your guide will lead you through the main old streets of Lima Antigua and explore its beautiful monuments, balconies (Lima has more than 1500 balconies) and the Colonial houses adorned with Moorish-style balconies, where the first Spanish families lived during the colonial period.

Walking along the Plaza de Armas, see the baroque cathedral, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace with its big carved wooden balconies, and a visit inside the convent of San Francisco is a unique way to learn about the history of Peru.

By the way, San Francisco convent is home to the largest collection of religious art in the Americas and underneath the convent, lie extensive catacombs that served as the cemetery during the colonial period.

After your Lima tour you will be driven to Lima airport to board your flight back home.
