Day 1: Lima

Airport to Hotel estimated driving time: forty-five minutes

Once your flight lands at Jorge Chavez International airport, follow the signs to immigration and then to customs. After exiting customs, you will be in the International arrivals area, where your driver will meet and greet you, he will be holding a sign with your name, and drive you to your hotel located in Miraflores area.

Upon arrival at your hotel, our Staff will welcome you and assist you with all you may need.

Day 2: Flight from Lima to Arequipa

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Lima airport, where you will be assisted with your flight check-in and baggage drop-off, then escorted to the entrance to the security check area.

Upon arrival at Arequipa airport, follow the signs for the baggage claim area, after collecting your luggage you will be in the arrivals area, where our staff (who will have a sign with your name) will welcome you and drive you to your hotel located in the center of the city.

Arequipa Private City Tour

This afternoon we will explore the Highlights of Arequipa, known as the “White City” due to most of its constructions are made of “sIllar”, a white-colored volcanic stone.

Santa Catalina Monastery, Plaza de Armas and surroundings.

We start with a short and smooth walk to Santa Catalina monastery, which remained closed to the public from 1579 when it was founded until the end of the twentieth century. We will visit inside the monastery and discover its four centuries of mystery! Its small streets, cloisters and alleys from the Middle Ages are just amazing.

Then we continue our walk to the Plaza de Armas, where you will enjoy observing the beautiful cathedral and surrounding colonial buildings. Next, we visit the Jesuit Church of the company and Tristan del Pozo House, an architectural jewel of the eighteenth century.

Yanahuara Viewpoint

Finally, we head to Carmen Alto and Yanahuara districts, where you will enjoy the best views of the “White City” with its terraces and volcanoes like Misti and Chachani.

We recommend this evening you have a light and early dinner, please pack only the necessary for your trip to the COLCA, the remaining baggage can be stored in the hotel’s baggage deposit (no additional cost).

Day 3: Start trip to Colca Valley

Hotel pickup time: 07:30 am. – 08:00 am.

This morning you will be picked up from your hotel, join your tour group and embark on an amazing five-hour bus trip to the Andean village of Chivay located in the Colca Valley, very close to the Colca Canyon.
Today you will cross through Pampa Cañahua Park and enjoy the unique views of the most spectacular Andean Volcanoes like Misti, Chachani and Ampato.

Your tour includes several stops on the way, where you will have many chances to take pictures of the South American Camelids like Vicuñas, Alpacas, Llamas and probably Guanacos and Vizacachas, certainly the great tour explanations of your English-speaking Guide will make this experience memorable!

After enjoying the amazing landscape, you will arrive in the nice village of Chivay, where a delicious buffet lunch will be ready. After lunch, you will have time to rest and relax.

Day 4: Condors over Colca Canyon. Colca – Puno

After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and rejoin your tour group. We will set off on a great adventure in the Colca Valley, you will be driven to the Cruz del Condor cliff top observation point, here you will enjoy unique views of the breathtaking flight of the majestic Condors!

After the Condor’s show, you will continue enjoying views of the deepest canyon of the world and its Andean terraces, which have been used by the local farmers since pre-Incan times. We continue our way visiting Quechua villages and have views of some Pre-Inca Tombs. After lunch, you will have a private ride to Puno and drop off at your hotel located on the shores of Lake Titicaca.

Day 5: Full-day boat trip adventure on Lake Titicaca

Hotel pickup time: 07:00 a.m.

After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Puno pier to board the boat and start your adventure on the highest navigable Lake in the world, the first stop will be on the floating Totora reed Islands of The Uros where you will see how these pre-Incan people live; we continue our journey onto Taquile Islands where you will learn more about Inca’s culture and traditions; their lifestyle remains the same as it has been for centuries with very little influence from modern times. Here you will find beautiful textiles and some of the best handicraft in the Inca region.
In the afternoon, we will return to Puno pier, from where you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 6: Tourist bus ride Puno – Cusco

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the bus station to board the tourist bus to Cusco and have one of the most fabulous journeys with spectacular views of the Andes Mountains and countryside. The bus journey includes visits to Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, La Raya and Pukara.

Upon arrival at Cusco bus station you will be transferred to your Hotel, our staff will assist you with your hotel check-in and all you may need.

Day 7: Sacred Valley Private Tour

Hotel pickup time: 07:00 a.m.

This morning you will be picked up from your hotel by your personal driver and guide and explore the sacred valley of the Incas where you will learn more about the Inca’s culture and life in this area in modern times.

Pisac Ruins

We start with a short drive to the sacred valley enjoying views of the green hills, and beautiful fields of Giant corns and potatoes and arrive in Pisac village, then we drive up to the hilltop Inca Ruins of Pisac, this beautiful

Archaeological Inca complex has not only temples but also agricultural and military constructions. You will enjoy the highlights of Pisac and have amazing views of the stunning snow-capped mountains.

Maras & Moray

After your visit to Pisac Ruins, we embark on a smooth drive to the Andean village of Maras, located at 3,400 meters (11,152 feet) above sea level, here you will explore this small village and then continue to Moray a beautiful archaeological site consisting of enormous terraced circular depressions with a sophisticated irrigation system. Moray was probably an Incan agricultural center that served as an agricultural lab during Incan times for the development of different strain of crops.

After enjoying the agricultural terraces, we continue our way to “Las Salineras de Maras”, the saltpans that date back to pre-Inca times. The salt ponds are amazing, they are located at over 3,300 meters (10,827 feet) above sea level but very far from the Ocean!

Ollantaytambo

After lunch, we drive to Ollantaytambo, the only Ancient Inca town that keeps its original walls, layout as it was during the Inca times, and still inhabited to the present! Your guide will show this Inca town and the amazing Inca site of Ollantaytambo, where the Incas made one of their last stands against the Spanish.

After visiting Ollantaytambo, you will be transferred to the train station to board the vista dome train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).

Upon arrival in Machu Picchu, you and your guide will enter the citadel and start your adventure in this amazing UNESCO Heritage Site. Afternoon Cusco City Tour and nearby Inca Ruins Tour

This afternoon, you are picked up from your hotel, join your tour group and start your visit to the beautiful city of Cusco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

You Cusco tour starts with a smooth walk to the main attractions of this Inca city, its main square known as Plaza de Armas, then the Cusco Cathedral which construction started in 1559 and has an impressive unique collection of more than 400 paintings from Cusco school made during the 16th and 17th century. Next, you walk through the narrow Inca streets close the Plaza and appreciate the massive Inca walls which are the foundations of Cusco city.

Your tour includes a visit to the most impressive Inca temples, Koricancha, which is known as the temple of the sun. During the Inca time, the walls of this temple were lined in sheets of solid gold and its courtyard was decorated with statues and ornaments of gold! You tour includes a visit to Santo Domingo Church built by the Spanish colonists.

After visiting the city of Cusco, we will head to the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman located on the outskirts of the city. Here you will learn more about the Incas’ secrets while exploring this amazing fortress and enjoying its beautiful perfectly fitted walls, built with massive stones! We continue to Qenko ruins, a site of carved living rock, then to Puca Pucara, an Inca lodging Site and finally Tambo Machay, known as the Baths of the Inca. This afternoon, you are driven to the Historic Center of Lima, where you will learn about the colonial past of Peru and how it is still reflected in modern times.

The Historic Center of Lima known as “the City of the Kings”, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 due to its outstanding value not only by its high concentration of historic monuments but also due to Lima played an important role in the history of the New World from the 16th to the 18th century.

Your guide will lead you through the main old streets of Lima Antigua and explore its beautiful monuments, balconies (Lima has more than 1500 balconies) and the Colonial houses adorned with Moorish-style balconies, where the first Spanish families lived during the colonial period.

Walking along the Plaza de Armas, see the baroque cathedral, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace with its big carved wooden balconies, and a visit inside the convent of San Francisco is a unique way to learn about the history of Peru.

By the way, San Francisco convent is home to the largest collection of religious art in the Americas and underneath the convent, lie extensive catacombs that served as the cemetery during the colonial period.

After your Lima tour you will be driven to Lima airport to board your flight back home.
