Is ECS Travel an accredited Tour Operator?

Yes, we are a licensed tour operator with more than 10 years of experience in tourism. ECS Travel is recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of Peru and member of ASOTUR (Incoming Tour Operators Association), ASTA (Travel Supplier), The International Ecotourism Society Business, and an authorized Inca Trail Operator.

How are the tours provided by ECS Travel?

All our tours are designed to meet your exact requirements. It means you will have a lifetime experience that fits into your dates, needs and interests.
Upon your arrival at Lima International airport you will be met by one of our representatives and driven to your hotel where your Travel Consultant will welcome you and assist you personally.
Thanks to our local offices and network of representatives, you will have a safe, flexible and enjoyable experience during your entire tour in Peru.
Our tours include transfers to your hotel and from your hotel, it means each time you get on or get off a plane, bus or train, you will be met by one of our representatives who will drive you and assist you. Our tours are not escorted, it means there is no need to be tied to a group your entire trip, you will join a small group only for the guided tours in each location.
All our tours include 24/7 assistance during your entire stay in Peru. This service is provided by lour local Multi-lingual speaking Agents, who will be happy to help. This ensures you have peace of mind.

Are private tours available?

Yes, we can arrange your private tour exclusively for you or your party. Please contact us to let us know your exact requirements.

How soon in advance should I book my tour?

We can set up your itinerary and confirm your tour in a couple of hours, however please take notice that a last minute tour may cost more than a tour booked six months in advance. Peru has become a popular tourist destination in the last 10 years attracting millions of visitors each year. If you are planning to hike the Inca Trail then you must book at least three months in advance. Inca Trail permits are limited to 500 per day including Guides and Crew.

Can I book my tour through a Travel Agent in my country?

Do I need Visa to visit Peru?

Citizens from the US, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Republic of South Africa do not need Visa. Citizens from other countries please contact us to let you know if you need Visa, we will be happy to assist you.

Do I have to learn Spanish to visit Peru?

No, if you don’t speak any Spanish it won’t be a problem, we have multi-lingual Guides and Agents who will ensure you have no language problems.

When is the best time to visit Peru?

Peru can be visited all year-round; however the best time to visit Peru is from April to October because it is dry season. The rainiest months are January and February.
The peak tourist season is June to August

What type of transportation is used during my tour in Peru?

We use private cars and vans for transfers from airports, bus and train stations to hotels, tourist comfortable buses for group guided tours, private vans or buses for private tours. For long land journeys we use Cruz del Sur (Crucero Class), these buses have air conditioner, toilet and GPS. For flights we use Lan, Taca, Peruvian Airlines and Star Peru. Most of the aircrafts are Airbus A319 and Boeing 737 - 200/737 - 300. For train journeys we use Peru Rail (Andean Explorer, Hiram Bingham, Vista dome and Expedition) and Inca Rail (Executive Class).
